CursorGoblin
How CursorGoblin estimates cursor distance
CursorGoblin estimates cursor distance from pointer movement while tracking is live. It is a playful daily signal, not a scientific measurement of the physical distance your hand or mouse traveled.
What the estimate represents
The app samples changes in pointer position and adds movement into a daily total. It ignores tiny jitter and implausibly large jumps, so the value works best as a personal workday comparison.
Because the app observes pointer coordinates rather than measuring your desk, monitor layout, or hand movement, the dashboard labels this value estimated cursor distance.
How to read the number
Compare your own days rather than treating the total as a universal benchmark. The report places the estimate alongside left clicks, idle time, rage clicks, and scroll storms.
- Tracking must be live for new movement to be counted.
- The seven-report history is stored locally.
- You can pause tracking or reset local stats in Settings.
